Trees arrived today.

black gold

Compost blend with a rather distinct aroma.

After shoveling 7 yards I can attest its not the only thing that smells like a barnyard right now.

With Mrs Wulff due home any minute, I better haul my ashes off the couch before I do irreparable damage.

one of seven

Good news: clay soils are slow to drain, retain moisture, hence plants need less water.

Bad news: absolute pain to excavate.

One tree hole down, six to go.

battle waged and won

A great Battle raged here.

And the bodies of the vanquished were heaped upon a great Pyre, reaching unto the Heavens.

To serve warning that from this day forward, a new Lord held dominion over these Lands.

Been feeling a bit over-scheduled lately- reference lack of substantive outings/posting.

Home sale, purchase, move, improvements.

Work: Ph1 construction completion; Ph 2 design deadline, 2 other new projects begun, whew.

Even my mtb rides seemed to be on someone else's schedule, pace as I barely had the time to ride with the kids' racing team.

So it was with a particular sense of freedom and joy to finally get out, slow down, and soak in what our recent monsoons had wrought.

D Day +1

Garage put in order

Security bars removed

Trumpet vine destroyed

Time for a libation~

good morning!

Beautiful day in the (new) neighborhood.

We are just a coupla miles downwind of ABQ's balloon launch field, we should be in line for some spectacular shows this fall.

Aaaaand it appears our neighborhood parks serve as convenient landing fields.
