LOL Joe, I share your pain today. There is more mountain biking and fishing in those hills than we could discover in both our lifetimes. Sigh. Guess I better get after it.... ;-)
That is my old stomping grounds. I had some good times there. I biked more than I fished back in those days. For a while there (2004-2008) I had the Animas dialed in, if there is such a thing. Kinda like saying you can dial in on the Rio Grande. It was great. Many lessons were learned both on that mesa and on that river. Nice shots.
Ahhh... the Animas has never been that kind to me, fickle is its middle name. I always figured you'd need to put your time in to crack her code, but DGO remains a bit too far away to get that done, and there's sooo very much by way of fishing up there it's tough to focus on just one water. Absolutely love the opportunity to combine schweet singletrack and quality fly fishing in a single trip- in my book DGO has it all. We' ll be back this summer~. Mike
you CAN'T post pictures like these while I'm sitting in the office, wishing I was, well - THERE!!!
