dragon's back

NW to Cabezon Peak over Dragon's Back
Mid-winter blah's had me casting about for something different this weekend.

Headed out to the White Mesa, outside of San Ysidro.
rather steep penalty for failure
 

Dragon's Back turned the tide.
knife edge runs 4 miles
 New Mexico painted desert at its rugged finest.
final plunge awaits


My Dog, but it's beautiful out there.
and no, I did not attempt that drop
No country for old men allright.

Yeti's now, that's a different story.

  2. Loved this post, especially your photographs. I'm down in Las Cruces, was supposed to run a 50K trail race up there back in November and I'm no thoroughly disappointed I missed this terrain. Beautiful.
